After just being victourous in Warsong Gulch, the young Ruki the Pateint was hunting for herbs Zul'Drak, along wtih the ellusive Gundrak hatchling. Intent with her kill, the large, jet black devilsaur sniffed the dimembered polar bear that was inbetween her master and an herb. Ruki hummed the Alliance anthem to herself as she picked through the mass of grasses and dried weeds. Gojira pricked up her head and bellowed a roar of pain. Ruki jumped and grabbed her trusted blade, Marrowstrike. Gojira was down on her side, her warm blood was gushing from the gunshot wounds. "Gojira!" Ruki shrieked as she ran to the helpless black lump in the snow. The devilsaur was in extrodanary aggony. "Oh, Gojira," Ruki whispered to the dying beast. Ruki pulled a small dagger out. Ruki looked into Gojira's eyes; their soft crystal blue glow show Ruki's reflection in them, along with the fear and pain both were experiancing. Ruki held up the dagger and plunged it through the gallant beast's heart. Gojira squealed, then she laid her head down and died. Ruki bent over Gojira's lifeless body and began to weep unendlessly. A hardy orcish laugh sprung up out of the snow behing them. Ruki jolted around, her polish armor stained with the blood of her companion.
"Killing your pet was almost to easy, hunter," the orc mocked. Ruki grinted her teeth as the orc smiled. "Too bad killing you won't be that much of a challenge as well," the orc cackled. Ruki knew he was right. A hunter is too vulnerable without the protection of their companion. Ruki sat their helpless in the snow as the mighty orc lifted up his axe to deal the deathful blow. A mighty roar came from behing RUki. Not just any roar, but the roar from a mighty bear. A large brown bear jumped and charged the orc. It was nothing for the bear to easily snap the orc's neck and kill him. Then the bear turned to Ruki, his yellow eyes studied the night elf carefully. He sniffed the night elf, his mighty nostrils sent Ruki's bangs flying away from her forehead. Then the bear's tounge licked Ruki across her face before he sat down with large pupils staring at Ruki.
"Cubbie?!" Ruki gasped, "Is that you, is it really you!?" the bear nodded and stuck his tounge out at her. "Oh it is you!" Ruki tackled the bear into the snow, sobbing heavily. Cubbie nudged Ruki with his muzzle. Ruki looked back at the devilsaur corpse and frowned. Cubbie began to dig, his worn claws kicking up snow, ice and dirt. The dirt-covered bear climbed out of the large hole and lifted his head with pride. Ruki smiled and she looked over at Gojira one last time before her and Cubbie pushed the large beast into the hole and covered her with dirt. A large brown lumb broke the pattern of whiteness. "May you be in a lush paradise, Gojira, my good friend. Rest in peace,". Ruki looked over a Cubbie and smiled as the two old, very close friends walked into the snow together back into town.

The lesson of the story is that no matter how long two friends are away from eachother, a true friend will also come to your rescue no matter what.
I is a happy person :la:

After thinking long and hard about how a got rid of my first pet, Cubbie, I desided to go tame him again, replacing him with my devilsaur. I figured this would be more entertaining than writing: "I went to Darkshore yesterday. I abandond my devilsaur and retamed a brown bear and named him Cubbie. The End."

Part of me knows its not the real Cubbie, but it'll have to do :(
