Anduin, now eight, peered out from behind the curtains. "Okay," he said to himself. "They have to tell me. They have to tell me," Anduin held his head high and walked over to Lady Prestor, who was lounging in his father's, or should one say his, throne. "Miss Prestor, I-"
"Listen, shrimp... Daddy's gone. Stop asking me about it. That little elf friend he had failed."
"You lie!" Anduin stamped his foot in frustration.
"Okay, brat, you may have that title in your name, but you have no power. That's Bolvar and I's-"
"Finally, something that was stated that was true," Bolvar walked into the throne run with his firmly on his hips. "You're abusing your power, Prestor."
"Am I? Or are you just under-using your's?" Prestor grinned as she sat up and stood. Bolvar stood firm; unlike other's, Lady Prestor did not intimidate nor arouse him. She huffed and left. Anduin looked up at his father-figure with sorrowful eyes.
"Uncle Bolvar... is father really dead? Or is Miss Prestor making that up?" Anduin felt so lost without his father. It was heartbreaking.
"Well, Anduin... we heard word from Ruki that he's alive, but she's having trouble keeping him hidden." Anduin's eyes lit up.
"Really, what all did she say?" Anduin climbed up in his throne and sat as Bolvar sat infront of him on the floor. Bolvar started telling him all that her private message said... almost word-for-word. Then, the throne room was shaken from the loud bang of the doors smashing against the cinderblock walls. Every looked.
"Can it be?" Bolvar turned and stood. "Varian? Is that you?" Varian just huffed and walked into the center of the room and grinned to himself, almost evilly. A red flag went up in both Bolvar and Anduin's head. Bolvar picked Anduin up and held him in is arms. This had to be some sort of trick. This Varian standing before them was arrogant and frivolous. Lady Prestor overdramatically waltzed into the room, making her 'assents' stand out more. Varian raised an eyebrow and winked. Bolvar's jaw dropped in shock and a gloved hand slid over Anduin's eyes. Bolvar swept Anduin out of the room and took him to the training grounds. Anduin dropped out of Bolvar's arms and onto a bench.
"That's not my father," Anduin stated.
"Right you are, Anduin, but just play along. I don't know what Lady Prestor has planned but Ruki needs to hurry up and get your REAL father home... and fast."
