Thalias - Part 44

    With the combined efforts of Varian, Jaina, and Ruki- the three of them decided it would be best for Anduin and Leona to spend time in Ironforge to get away from the stress of Varian trying to find himself.
    The royal family stood in the Deeprun Tram waiting for it to arrive. Ruki was kneeling down, buttoning Leona's coat. "You be a good girl for Andy and Mr Magni, okay?"
    Leona nodded. "I will, Mommy," she smiled, clutching her stuffed lion tightly.
    Varian patted Anduin on the shoulder. "Keep an eye on her. Make sure she doesn't get too close to the forge."
    Anduin sighed. "I will, Father." He tried to force a smile.
    Ruki pulled Anduin into a hug. She leaned down and whispered in his ear. "If you feel like you need to come home early, do so," she planted a little kiss on his forehead. "Try not to hurt yourself training. And remember. Knowledge wins the battles strength cannot," Ruki smiled, gently poking his forhead. "Continue your reading."
    Anduin smiled and nodded. He took Leona by the hand when the tram cart pulled up. "COme on, sissy. The tram is fun."
    Leona looked back at her parents and smiled. "Bye Mommy, bye Daddy!"
    Varian and Ruki waved goodbye as the tram pulled away. The couple sighed at one another and went back to the Keep.

    Varian and Ruki relaxed in their chambers after a long day. Ruki absent mindedly played with her hair as Varian washed his face in the water basin. Varian dried off his face with a towel before sliding unter the covers with Ruki.
    "Do you think they'll be okay?" Ruki looked over at her husband.
    Varian smiled. "Of course, Ruki. Magni will take good care of them." Varian planted a little kiss on Ruki's nose. "It's late. Get some rest," he leaned over Ruki and blew out the candle on her side of the bed before blowing out his own. In the blackness he settled down andeasliy fell asleep.
     Ruki's nocurnal nature was slowly fading but at times she still had trouble sleeping. As her mind finally drifted to sleep she wondered if Abduin was tlaking care of Leona's bedtime story. Surely he was. Ruki was debating on getting up and finding a mage to take her to Ironforge. Her eyes shifted to the grandfather clock. It was late, no mage would get up to take the paranoided queen to her children.
    Ruki jumped when she felt Varian snake his arms around her*
    "Dammit, Ruki," he growled. "I said go to sleep."
