Thalias - Sneak Peak

     "Hold still," Varian grunted "I know this hurts..." Ruki screamed with pain as Varian as he started to tug on the arrow that was lodged in her shoulder. Ruki looked up at Varain, tears of pain stung her eyes and her cheeks; their eyes locked, but only momentarily. The hypnotic silence was broken by Ruki's screams. "I'd like to thank you for saving my life, Ruki." Varian grabbed the curve between Ruki's neck and shoulder. "Now this will hurt, a lot."  Varain grabbed the arrow, twisted, and pulled with all his strength. The arrow ripped free from where is was lodged, followed by an ear-piercing scream. Ruki whinced and Varain began wrapping her shoulder in a soft, linen bandage.
     "Do not worry about it," Ruki popped her shoulder "Think of it as... a thank you for offering my people a home."
     "Our people," Varain gave Ruki a small, reassuring grin. "Your people are my people. Any son or daughter of the Alliance will have a safe have here in Stormwind.". Ruki spun around and smiled, wiped a few tears from her face, and wrapped her arms around him in a warm embrace; her head tightly pressed against his chest and hear the rhythmatic thumping of Varian's heart. Varain could not help himself but to chuckle and wrap his arms around her. A rush of emotions flooded the both of them: happiness, security, friendship - no, not friendship, but love - and, slight embarrassment. Varian pulled Ruki's head up, their eyes locked. Was he going to kiss her? Excitement flood Ruki, her cheeks, once wet with tears of pain, now rosy with love. Varian rubbed noses with Ruki, the two smiling and laughing. Varian brushed Ruki's fair hair from her face, her moon-lit eyes glowing with passion. Like a moth attracted to a flame, Varian Drew closer to her, pulling her closer to him. Come on, I know you want to. Kiss me, Ruki's eyes stated that in bold print. Varain's face turn bright red, he didn't know whether this would be appropirate or not. Ruki nodded and gave Varian a small smile.
    "Go ahead." Ruki smiled again. Her smile, so simple and sweet, drew Varain to her and he pressed his lips against her's. What was supose to be a small kiss, turned deep and passionate rather quickly. Varain pulled Ruki on top of him and wrapped his arms around her tightly; she was not going anywhere.


     Varian ran a hand down the curves of Ruki's body. She giggled and pulled herself closer to him. Ruki grinned and her eyes closed, and she retreated to a well-deserved rest. Varian chuckled and pulled a blanket over them. "Sleep well, my love." Varain brushed a strand of hair off Ruki's face and kissed her forehead. He smiled as he began to fall asleep, pulling Ruki close.
